CORN ETHANOL PRODUCTION


APPLICATION - Measure the %Total Solids of the Mash after the Slurry Tank and the Syrup after the Evaporator.

MASH- The Ethanol Manufacturing Process requires that each Customer make a Slurry of Ground Corn and Water. This Slurry is called the Mash. The Mash is used to make the Ethanol. This is the beginning of the Ethanol Production Process. It is a Process, which converts Corn Starch to Corn Sugar and then the Ethanol.

SYRUP - At the end of the Process a Syrup, which is high in Protein and Fat Content is recovered. This Syrup is mixed back in with the WDG (wet distillers grain). The WDG is sold to Farmers and Ranchers.

BENEFITS - Ethanol Production works better, and more efficiently when the Process is in Control. Our Microwave Instrument gives each Ethanol Customer a system that helps them achieve better control.

There is always a requirement for an outside Energy Source when making Ethanol. If the Process is in good control, there are savings in Energy.

QUALITY - Overall, this lower variability allows for better control of the Fermentation Process and a more Efficient and Cost Effective Process.
 
REPEATABILITY - +/- 0.2 %
 

MEASURING RANGE - Mash- 25% to 50% Total Solids Content is Typical. The system can Measure as low as 0.5% TS and as high as they can pump the product.
